“DurgaSaptasati” is an important part of Markandeya Puranam. The word “Saptasati” is derived from the count of lines of worship, a set of 700 statements.While it is desirable to recite the original text fully, many devotees expressed their inability to do so because of lack of familiarity with such fairly big texts and also of Sanskrit.
Hence for the benefit of such seekers, this booklet is prepared with a limited list of divine slokas of saptasati, which offer solutions to several worldly problems.
Additionally, the divine words of Saptasati are compiled into two different sets, with 108 holy names and also with 700 holy names, separately, for puja purposes. Also the story of 13 chapters of saptasati is summarized and presented in simple prose.
