శ్యామలా దండకము, లలితా దండకము Shyamala Dandakam, Lalita Dandakam

One of the greatest poets of all times of Sanskrit is Kalidasa. Though his biographical details, of about 1800 to 2200 years back, are not known precisely, his great works like Raghuvamsam, Kumarasambhavam, Megha Samdesam, AbhiJnana Sakuntalam are available and are being studied even today with dedication by several through out the world.

Syamala Dandakam is the lyrical composition in praise of Supreme goddess, by Kalidasa, at the first instance after having the grace of Goddess Kali. The Dandakam is rich in vocabulary, musical in composition, and devotional in expression.
