The traditional followers of Sanatana Dharma / Hinduism maintain high reverence to our ancient sages. One of the branches of Hinduism with devotion to Lord Vishnu as the main theme from ancient times is Vaikhanasa, which regards sage Vikhanasa Muni as the preceptor or the Acharya and four main sages as his disciples viz., Kasyapa, Marichi, Bhrigu and Atri. They brought out extensive literature on various aspects of the Dharmas of individuals and society. It may be appropriate to mention that all the rituals of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala are in accordance with Vaikhanasa system.

The booklet as “Vaikanasa Agamam” introduces few historical details and main principles of this branch of Vedic system.
